Daily Reading:
Psalms 6-10

1.) Lessons:
  • 7:8 - Let the LORD judge the peoples. Vindicate me, LORD, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High. 
  • 7:17 - I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High.
  • 8:3-4 - When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
  • 9:9 - The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
  • 9:18 - But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.
  • 10:14 - But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.
2.) Applications:
  • The Lord is a righteous and fair judge. He will judge all people in accordance with their actions.
  • What am I to question God? Who am I that God the creator of the universe should care for me?
  • The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed. He is a stronghold in times of trouble.
  • The Lord will not forget the needy and will not allow His people to perish.
  • We need to commit ourselves to God, who is the all powerful.
3.) Daily Meditation:
  • 8:3-4 - When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

    Is my life a living testament to the richness of God's love and wonder?
